Dr. Carlos Aponte

Hello! I’m Dr. Aponte, and I want to welcome you to our practice. In dentistry, I love that every day brings new patients, new challenges and new learning opportunities. I love what I do because I’m able to pull every piece of knowledge and all past experiences in order to provide the best possible experience for my patients.

For my education, I got my undergraduate degree from Tufts University before attending the University of Puerto Rico Dental School, and received my DMD in 1983. For the past 27 years, I have strived to provide my patients with the highest quality dental care available.

Because my profession changes continuously, I know I must always learn new things in order to provide the highest level of service. I attend numerous courses of continuing education yearly. They help me keep abreast of the newest techniques, materials and treatments available in order to offer my patients the best options for their needs. Most recently, I attended implant courses offered by the Northern Virginia Dental Society and by the University of Pennsylvania Dental School.

Our practice is a special place for all who come in the door. Our staff work together as a team, and are always helping each other. We treat our patients as a part of our community. After all, you are the reason we are here! We want to make each patient feel comfortable and at home in our office. The entire staff gets along incredibly well, and we love to make our patients smile. You will always hear laughter in our practice!

When I’m not in the office, I am spending time with my wife, Maritza. Our two children, Carlos and Christina, are both in college. I am a sports fanatic, and especially love playing tennis with my wife. I also enjoy traveling and learning about other countries and their culture. I enjoy all kinds of music, particularly modern jazz and the performing arts.

When it comes to my profession, I am committed. I am committed to my patients, to my associates and staff, and to the promise I’ll be there every day and give the best of me, professionally and personally.
