Dr. Michael Chehade
Hi, I’m Dr. Michael Chehade! I’m excited to be joining Gainesville Dental Associates and to begin my career serving the community I’ve called home for most of my life.
Dentistry has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up with a father who is a dentist gave me an early look at the profession, but what stayed with me most was not simply the dentistry itself. It was the relationships he formed with his patients and the trust they placed in him over years of care. Seeing the role, he played in their lives shaped my understanding of what it means to be a dentist and ultimately inspired me to pursue the profession myself.
I attended the University of Virginia for my undergraduate education before earning my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Throughout dental school, I enjoyed gaining experience across all aspects of general dentistry and served as Chief Clerk of the Advanced Digital Dentistry Clerkship, where I had the opportunity to work extensively with some of the newest technology and techniques in the profession.
I believe graduating from dental school is just the beginning of my education. Dentistry is constantly evolving, and I’m excited to continue learning and growing throughout my career. My goal is to combine modern techniques and technology with a patient-centered approach built on trust, communication, and lasting relationships.
One of my favorite parts of dentistry is getting to know the people I treat. Every patient comes in with a different story, different priorities, and a different level of comfort with dental care, and I enjoy taking the time to understand each of them. For me, a great dental visit is not just about the treatment itself; it’s about making sure patients feel comfortable asking questions, understand their options, and know that their concerns are being taken seriously. I want every patient to leave feeling like they were genuinely cared for, not simply treated.
Outside of dentistry, you can usually find me lifting weights at the gym, playing golf or basketball to the best of my limited athletic abilities, or getting way too invested in a Commanders game. I’m also a big music fan, with a taste that ranges from electronic to country, so handing me the aux comes with a certain amount of risk. Whether it’s sports, music, or anything in between, I’m always happy to talk about it in the dental chair, as long as you don’t mind having to answer with your mouth open!
I’m incredibly grateful to begin this next chapter at Gainesville Dental Associates, and I look forward to getting to know you and your family for many years to come.
