Jason Kiangsoontra, DDS, MS, FACP – Board-Certified Prosthodontist
Welcome to our office! Dentistry, in my opinion, is a perfect blend between art and science. As a prosthodontist, I love being able to help restore patients’ abilities to chew, talk, and function, as well as helping with their smiles and overall appearance and confidence. By getting to meet and interact with each patient, I’m able to establish a rapport and find out what exactly you’re looking for and work together in finding a way to achieve that.
I grew up in Los Altos, California and Bangkok, Thailand, where I completed my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Rangsit University. I graduated with first class honors and was ranked second in my class. During my time in dental school, I was class president and very active in extracurricular activities to provide dental education and awareness to local communities and schools.
After working in private practice, I moved to Minneapolis, MN, where I completed a 3-year prosthodontic residency and Master of Science (MS) degree at the University of Minnesota in 2016. Through this vigorous training, I was able to broaden my scope of dentistry and provide a wide range of restorative and prosthetic treatment, including implant dentures and restorations, implant surgery, and full-mouth reconstruction. After finishing residency, I completed the board certification process to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and, as a result, became a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP).
Because the world of dentistry is always changing, I am an avid learner and strive to keep myself up-to-date with the latest treatment protocols and dental innovations. I also enjoy attending multiple continuing education courses as well as national conferences.
Having spent three years in the Twin Cities, I decided to move somewhere warmer with more predictable winters. (I still love you, Minnesota!) That was when I joined the incredible team here at Gainesville Dental Associates. I take pride with always wanting to go above and beyond for my patients and providing quality and excellent care for everyone, as if you’re my own family member. So I’m very happy that I have an amazing support team of dental assistants and schedule coordinators, as well as fellow dentists that share the same passion.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling and exploring new places, photography, and spending time with family and friends. I also love Labrador retrievers and am a big fan of the San Francisco Giants and the Golden State Warriors. Being somewhat new to the DC Metro Area, I enjoy being a tourist in my own city and exploring all the historical landmarks and learning all about our nation’s capital.
